Heather Lively, Executive Director

ATLANTA, Ga. — February 11, 2026

The Wellspring Living Board of Directors announced the appointment of Heather Lively as acting executive director, effective immediately. Heather assumes leadership of Wellspring Living as the organization celebrates its 25th year of joining survivors to disrupt sexual exploitation and trafficking through housing, healing, and education.

Heather most recently served as Wellspring Living’s chief operating officer, following years of dedicated service on the organization’s Board of Directors. In her role as acting executive director, she will focus on stability, sustainability, and uninterrupted services for the survivors Wellspring Living serves.

With a master’s degree in clinical psychology and a background supporting children impacted by trauma- combined with nonprofit leadership experience- Heather is known for leading with empathy, clarity, and a steadfast commitment to survivor-centered, trauma-informed care.

“The Board has full confidence in Heather’s leadership and is grateful for her long-standing commitment to survivors,” said Jennifer Hale, chair, Wellspring Living Board of Directors. “She brings deep institutional knowledge and a steady, mission-first approach that will keep our programs strong, consistent, and survivor-centered.”

“I’m honored to step into this role,” said Lively. “My priority is to support our team and strengthen the services that help survivors find safety, healing, and long-term stability.”
